Most of my realistic drawings and paintings can probably be defined as whimsical. However, when this idea popped up as a topic at Illustration Friday, I came up with this idea of a guy sitting at his desk, watching a rocket ship descend towards earth.

Not to be confused with the Bates Motel, this is the Star Motel, where stargazing is the most popular nocturnal activity.
A Prize For the All Bloggers
This prize award is dedicated to all bloggers, both big and small, who toil and labor over their precious piece of web space, regardless to whether they attract a million viewers or just one or two. Much praise goes out to those who find success and riches through their internet activity, but a special thanks is in store for those who do this on a daily, weekly or monthly basis just to communicate and throw in their two cents worth.

As we head towards the halfway mark of second decade of the 21st century, it is sometimes rewarding to sit mark and take note of all the wonderful scientific and technological devices that now grace our lives.
One surprisingly fact is the number of people who still think that earth is 10,000 years o;d. Here is definitive proof that our planet Earth is actually much older.
This is my work station, the place where I wash dishes. Sometimes, while staring at the blank concrete block wall, I imagine beautiful mountain panoramas…….but most of the time, the reality of my immediate task at hand occupies most of my thoughts.
Small is a relative term. For example an elephant could be considered small if it is pictured next to the Empire State building or at the bottom of Mount Everest. For me, I chose to focus on a small flower in the forest.
